Trentino vineyards according to Endrizzi

 
Trentino has a long history of grape growing.
Our vineyards cover plains, hills and mountains. Each vineyard was analyzed geologically to identify the soil best suited to each type of grape, after which we chose to grow both local and foreign vine species. Our terroir’s rich mineral content and microclimate produce fruity, intense wines that have achieved international recognition.

Growing Trentino vines


We grow our vineyards mainly with the guyot system and partially with pergolas, the typical method used in Trentino.
In accordance with tradition, the historical Masetto vineyard is grown primarily with the Trentino pergola. This is one of our favorite places, because its structures, leaves, and cool shade have accompanied generations of the Endrici family.  

Our other vineyards, such as Pian di Castello and Kinderleit, are grown with the guyot system.

Giardino dei Profumi

 
Masetto and its Giardino dei Profumi (Perfumed Garden) are adjacent to the winery and the Vinoteca. Alongside the rows of vines typical of Trentino are plants that recall the fragrances in our wines: artemisia cola in Cabernet Franc, morel in Pinot Nero, iris in Teroldego, quince in Gewürztraminer, and many others. Endrizzi seeks beauty everywhere, and in the Giardino dei Profumi we offer our guests the opportunity to see and touch the fragrances of the wines they drink. A unique experience for anyone who desires full immersion in the world of wine.

Masetto, family terroir

 
Masetto is located on the Faedo River fan, with its mix of chalky, porphyritic, and carbonate soil. Here we grow the finest grapes, which give the Masetto line its unique character.

Pian di Castello

 
Surrounded by woods, the Pian di Castello vineyard has gravelly and chalky soil from dolomite and other sedimentary rock. In this steep, old vineyard, we grow grapes for our Trentodoc sparkling wines.

Kinderleit

 
Cited by Veronelli as one of Italy’s historical vineyards, Kinderleit (children’s hill) was the vineyard of the Augustinian Abby of S.Michele a/A, founded in 1145. Like Pian di Castello, Kinderleit is a steep vineyard with southwest exposure, its soil a mix of dolomite rock debris and ice-age sediment.

Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGP

Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGP is one of the four typical geographical indications of Trentino-Alto Adige. Rules more lenient than those for DOC wines allow more innovative and creative production. Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGP wines perfectly represent our family’s character:

DOC wines are made only with grapes that come from a precise cultivation and harvest area and that meet specific quality levels. Our winery is in a geographic area where the DOC designation applies to almost all of our Classic line wines:
